In brief

The research of A. M. Tarko is devoted to the mathematical modeling of the biosphere. He developed a system of mathematical models of global biosphere processes, spatial models of the carbon and nitrogen cycles in the "atmosphere — land plants — soil" and "atmosphere — ocean" systems, and a mathematical interpretation of the Le Chatelier principle in global ecology. He took part in the world-renowned calculations of the ecological and demographic consequences of nuclear war. A student and successor of the school of Academician N. N. Moiseev.
